Oh, how they slay me.  The first question that comes to mind when I see them for art schools is, why is an essay required.  I mean, I am a writer but I’m a graphic/ad designer first.  I haven’t had to write an essay in about three semesters.  Honestly, even though I love to write, I’ve never been good at essays.  Fiction is where I belong and I prefer not to stray.  Alas, I have no choice but to write them.  That is, of course, unless I want to stay stuck where I am.  Well, we can’t have that.  I’m destined for better than this and I’ll reach it…just as soon as I get these out of the way.
